A small selection of instructional illustrations, both informative and educational.

In the course of years I have illustrated many educational books, lessons and programmes. All together probably more than 2000 pictures for amongst others Uitgeverij Zwijsen, Agromisa, Landelijke Werkgroep Economie Onderwijs and ThiemeMeulenhof. The selection here includes Long-distance learning in Afghanistan, nature education and illustrations for the educational magazine MaanVisRoos and Jeelo (jouw eigen elektronische leeromgeving).

Hans Kuijper is a Dutch childrensbook author with whom I have worked many times. Here you find pictures from ‘Alle drieren en Frank’,'Jacob en de Torenschilder’, 'Naar de zup’ and the comic book for learning Dutch as a second language ‘Feest met de Buurman’. Other illustrations belong to the books ‘Lachen met lef’(Anneke Dekkers & Karin de Galan),' Coachen met Voice Dialogue’ (Judith Budde & Karin Brugman) and 'Ready for take off: een vliegende start in je eerste baan!' (Jolanda Bouman).

The illustrations shown here a e examples found in magazines and folders, sometimes serving internal communication only (like for the municipality of Zeist or the Province Noord-Holland) or dressing specific topics like for Zaanstad, Woonzorgcorporatie IJsselheem, Landbouw-Economisch Instituut (LEI), Greenchoice or Supporter (NCDO magazine on sports and international development).

Visuals can be seen as more complex illustrations, sometimes including texts to show and explain situations (in the future) or to clarify a process. In order of appearance (from left to right) community housing project Bitburg, Supplychains for Qbuzz, Wormerwonen, Monet Boulevard (Zaandam), city planning Zaanstad, process for asylum seekers to find work and integrate, rainproof adaptations in garden and house, a new school building and the Wholeschool approach.

Here a small selection of posters.

Depictions of famous people like author Carry van Bruggen and racingcyclist Niki Terpstra as well as the less famous . . . drawn by me as a present for departing or celebrating.

The selection shown here includes the more technical maps as well as more playful overviews.
